10 - Garland Good Government Group begins petition drive to allow the public their right to vote.

17 - Garland Good Government Group meeting and petition review

June

01 - 07 Present completed petitions asking city to hold referendum on allowing the citizens their right to vote.

July

Public awareness campaign

October

Voters finally had their "right to vote" restored and citizens defeated the proposed new city hall by a 3 to 1 margin.
